Established in 2001 Funny Bones Comedy was initially set up by Warren Speed to bring more laughter to the North East of England.   Warren has more than twenty years experience of working within the UK entertainment industry, not only in the field of performance but also in marketing, promotion and organisation.   Funny Bones now run regular stand-up comedy shows throughout the length and breadth of Great Britain, are frequently asked to provide comedians for private, public and corporate events, and are also the official organisers of the Newcastle Gateshead comedy festival.

Every regular Funny Bones comedy show features a top compere, plus at least two well-established acts selected from the best British and international comedians on the contemporary live circuit. Each show may also feature one or two rising stars from the UK comedy circuit.

The type of comedy we bring to Funny Bones shows is of the original, observational style (NOT the outdated and often offensive "social club" mother-in-law kind of gag style!). The comedians who appear at our shows are the kind of acts you would see at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival and at well known national comedy venues such as Jongleurs and the Comedy Store.
